ABOUT RONDA

At her core, Ronda Taylor is a Creative. She is a poet, writer, & storyteller based in Charleston, South Carolina. She has a master’s degree in writing and a bachelor’s degree in English with a minor in creative writing from Coastal Carolina University.

During her college experience, Ronda refined her love for poetry and writing children’s books, which collided together to create her writing world today. Her goal for writing for young people is to create stories that represent and reflect the colorful world we live in. Between the spaces of each word, Ronda wants readers to hear: You are seen, heard, and loved.

Poetry is where Ronda feels most at home to be her authentic self. By transparently sharing the power of her testimony through art, Ronda seeks to empower and give hope to anyone struggling to know freedom is possible through God.

Ronda performs poetry, leads workshops, and speaks at events in her community. She has performed at several conferences, including the Dream Girls Conference and the Dream, Sparkle, Shine Conference. She is a contributing poet in the forthcoming anthology, Ukweli: Searching for Healing Truth.

Ronda is also the founder and visionary of FLYbara, an organization that equips & empowers a diverse community of Creatives. As a leader, she is motivated to help others reach their full potential.

While co-creating with the Creator, Ronda’s greatest purpose is to make God’s unfailing love widely known through the power of words.

At her core, Ronda Taylor is a Creative. She is a poet, writer, & storyteller based in Charleston, South Carolina. Growing up, Ronda always had her hand in a creative project. She explored many creative adventures, but felt most at home with words. In middle school, she wrote the first of many stories that almost got published in the local newspaper. 

She went on to pursue her passion for writing by earning a master’s degree in writing and a bachelor’s degree in English with a minor in creative writing from Coastal Carolina University. During her college experience, Ronda refined her love for poetry and writing children’s books, which collided together to create her writing world today. Her goal for writing for young people is to create stories that represent and reflect the colorful world we live in. Between the spaces of each word, Ronda wants readers to hear: You are seen, heard, and loved.
